The Magic of the Endless Run
Find out why runners feel endless even though the world is tiny and repeats. You'll plan your runner's theme — rooftops, jungle, candy land, your call.
Three Lanes and a Runner
Set up three lanes and drop your character into the middle one. You'll learn how the *world* moves toward the player, not the other way around — the runner's clever trick.
Switching Lanes
Swipe or press arrows to hop between lanes smoothly. You'll make the movement snappy and satisfying so it feels great on the very first try.
Jumping and Sliding
Add a jump to clear obstacles and a slide to duck under them, with timing that feels fair. Mistimed moves should feel like *your* fault, not the game's.
Spawning Obstacles
Make obstacles appear ahead and rush toward the player. You'll learn to recycle the same few objects over and over so the game never slows down.
Collecting Coins
Sprinkle coins in the lanes for players to grab, with a happy *ding* and a counter. Coins guide players into risky-but-rewarding paths.
Crash! Collisions and Game Over
Detect when the runner hits an obstacle, play a gentle cartoon stumble, and show the score. Keep it light and silly, never scary.
Speeding Up Over Time
Slowly crank up the speed the longer you survive so every run builds tension. You'll find the sweet spot between exciting and unfair.
High Scores and Coins Bank
Save the best distance and total coins collected. Show a high-score banner that makes players want to beat it.
Run Again and Polish
Add a one-tap 'Run Again' button, a countdown to start, and little touches like dust clouds and speed lines. Then challenge a friend to beat your score.
